JAKARTA – President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) witnessed the signing of eight bilateral agreements in the form of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and Letters of Intent (LoIs), covering a wide range of sectors including dairy production investment and the development of solar power plants.
The announcement was made following a bilateral meeting between the two leaders at Qasr Al Shatie Palace, Abu Dhabi, on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. The agreements consist of four government-to-government (G-to-G) and four business-to-business (B-to-B) cooperation documents, underscoring the growing strategic partnership between Indonesia and the UAE.
Four Government-to-Government (G-to-G) Agreements:

Statement of Intent between the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs of Indonesia on Nature and Climate Partnership;

Second Amendment Protocol to the MoU between the Governments of Indonesia and the UAE on Marine and Fisheries Cooperation;

MoU between the UAE Ministry of Interior and the Indonesian National Police on Security and Counterterrorism Cooperation;
-
MoU between the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs and the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat of the UAE on Cooperation in Islamic Affairs and Endowments.
Four Business-to-Business (B-to-B) Agreements:

MoU between the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health, Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, and Al-Ain Farms for Livestock Production of the UAE on Dairy Production Investment;

Memorandum of Understanding between Ninety Degree General Trading LLC and PT Pindad;

Principle Agreement on the expansion of the Cirata Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant;

MoU between PT PLN (Persero) and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC (Masdar) on the Development Plan of the 100 MW Jatigede Floating Solar Power Plant.
Discussion on Global Peace Efforts, Including Gaza
During a closed-door session, President Prabowo and President MBZ also discussed various global strategic issues, particularly efforts to promote peace in Gaza, Palestine.
“I held consultations regarding the latest geopolitical developments. We aim to gain insights and perspectives from leaders in this region,” Prabowo told reporters, reaffirming Indonesia’s commitment to resolving conflicts through diplomatic approaches.
“To find peaceful solutions, we must engage in intensive communication and consultation to gather better input,” he added.
MBZ Plans Visit to Indonesia
President Prabowo also shared that MBZ expressed his intention to visit Indonesia. “He said he wants to come to Jakarta, and I told him he’s always welcome,” Prabowo said.
Following the meeting, President Prabowo and his delegation departed for Ankara, Türkiye, aboard the Presidential Flight from Abu Dhabi at 3:30 p.m. local time.
