The National Police Chief Confirms His Staff Should Not Be Anti-Critic

The National Police Chief Gen. Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo asked all his staff not to be anti-critic of the public for internal input. According to the National Police Chief, this should be used as an evaluation to make it even better.

This was conveyed by Sigit when giving directions to all ranks of the Regional Police Chief and the Head of the Resort Police through Vicon at the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Tuesday (19/10/2021).

“Don’t be anti-criticism, if there is criticism from the community, do introspection to be better,” said Sigit.

Meanwhile, Sigit also gave strict instructions to all of his staff to take firm action against unscrupulous members of the police who violate the rules while carrying out their duties.

Sigit emphasized to all Kapolda and Kapolres not to hesitate to give strict sanctions in the form of criminal or Disrespectful Dismissal (PTDH) to personnel who do not carry out their duties according to the rules.

“Strict action is needed, so please don’t use it for a long time, immediately remove it, PTDH, and criminal proceedings. Do it right away and this is an example for others. I ask that no Kasatwil have any doubts, if in doubt, I will take over,” said Sigit.

According to the former Banten Police Chief, the actions of unscrupulous members of the police have damaged the dignity of the Polri institution.
