JAKARTA — Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati officially inaugurated several new echelon I officials within the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) on Friday, May 23, 2025. The inauguration ceremony was held at the Ministry of Finance office in Jakarta and commenced with the reading of Presidential Decree No. 83/TPA of 2025.
“I, the Minister of Finance, hereby officially inaugurate you into your new positions within the Ministry of Finance,” said Sri Mulyani as she administered the oath of office to the newly appointed officials.
Among the newly appointed officials, Bimo Wijayanto stood out as he assumed the position of Director General of Taxes, replacing Suryo Utomo. Suryo has been reassigned to a strategic role as Head of the National Financial Technology, Information, and Intelligence Agency.
In addition, the position of Director General of Customs and Excise is now held by Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Djaka Budhi Utama, who replaces Askolani. Askolani has been appointed as Director General of Fiscal Balance.
