Indonesian Police Woman Becomes Police Training Best Graduate in Turkiye

IDNAround – President Erdogan sent his greetings to President Jokowi which he conveyed to an Indonesian policewoman who are among the best graduates of the Turkish Police Academy, Ankara (26/07). President Erdogan was seen spontaneously shaking hands longer and sending greetings to his colleague, President Jokowi, as soon as he found out that the participant in front of him was an Indonesian.

Brigadier Tiara Nissa Zulbida, who received the greeting, looked confident talking to President Erdogan in Turkish. The moment occurred at the graduation of the capacity building training “the First Level Police Chief Training and the Non Thesis Master Degree”, which took place at the Turkish National Police Academy, Ankara, Turkiye.

“The message of brotherhood sent by President Erdogan to President Jokowi shows that the relationship between the two nations is deep and rooted. Indonesia has a special place in the hearts of Turkish leaders and people, just as the leaders and people of Turkiye also have a special place in the hearts of Indonesians,” said Lalu Muhamad Iqbal, Ambassador The Indonesian Ambassador to Turkiye commented on the incident as well as received the three members of the National Police at his office, the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara (28/7).

Brigadier Tiara Nissa Zulbida was ranked fifth as the best graduate and was the only best female foreign participant at the training. Being the best graduate, First Brigadier Tiara Nissa Zulbida was honored to deliver a speech in Turkish in front of President Erdogan and all the invited guests.

“This is the first time that a member of the Police has won the title of best graduate. This success is an achievement for the Police in Turkiye,” said Kombes Pol Harviadhi Agung Pratama, the Indonesian Police Attache in Ankara who was present at the graduation ceremony with the Indonesian Ambassador.

The capacity building training “the First Level Police Chief Training and the Non Thesis Master Degree” lasts for 1.5 years and is equivalent to the Master’s program. This training was attended by 87 international students, including 3 (three) participants from Indonesia. Apart from First Brigadier Tiara Nissa Zulbida from the East Java Regional Police, participants from Indonesia were Ipda Regina Setiawan from the Riau Islands Police and Bripka Hilman Lasmana from the West Java Regional Police.

Republic of Indonesia – Turkiye Police cooperation has increased in the last 5 (five) years. This training is an increasingly progressive implementation of the police cooperation between the two countries as stipulated in the Memorandum of Intent (MoI) Technical Arrangement on Police Education and Training signed in 2017.
