3 Suspected Terrorists Arrested by Densus 88 in Central Java Join the JI Network

 

The 88th Anti-Terrorism Unit arrested three suspected terrorists in three cities in Central Java. The three terrorists are said to be part of the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) network.
On Wednesday (22 December 2021) the Head of Public Relations of the National Police Headquarters Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan confirmed: “The network in Central Java is the JI network.”

Ramadan did not disclose further information about the arrests of the three suspected terrorists. “Three suspected terrorists from Central Java were arrested,” said Ramadhan.

Regarding information, Kombes M Iqbal Alqudusy, Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, confirmed the existence of Densus activities in Semarang, Sukoharjo and Solo. However, they were unable to provide detailed information.

“I emphasize that Semarang, Sukohacho and Solo were arrested in Central Java,” Iqbal said via text message, Wednesday (22 December). AT was acquired at Pasar Waru at around 05.30 WIB.

Meanwhile in Sukoharjo, the Densus 88 team arrested a resident of Gonilan, Kartasura at around 05.30 WIB. The arrest was confirmed by Sukoharjo Police Chief AKBP Wahyu Nugroho Setyawan.

“The authority is in the Densus, I only confirm that one person has been arrested in the area of ​​Gonilan Village, Kartasura, Sukoharjo,” he said.
