Korlantas Polri Prepares Traffic Security Scheme During Lilin and Nataru Operations

 

The Korlantas Polri will hold a Candle Lighting Operation from December 23, 2021 to January 1, 2022. Several transportation plans have been prepared for Nataru’s safety operation.

Dirgakkum Korlantas Polri, Brigadier General. Boll. Aan Suhanan explained, the government did not impose vehicle restrictions during Nataru. However, there are many ways to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

“If people are forced to return to their villages, we will escort them and prepare a transportation plan to facilitate these activities,” explained Dirgakkum of the Police Transportation Corps in a written statement, Tuesday (21 December 2021).

In addition, in case of prolonged traffic jams, reverse and one-way programs will also be implemented.

General One Star also stated that it will roll out ETLE mobile to monitor driver behavior.

“I urge prospective travelers who use vehicles to pay attention to the applicable traffic signs so that people can get to their destination smoothly, safely and comfortably until they return to Jakarta,” he said.

On the same occasion, the Dirgakkum Korlantas Polri released a Team of Regional Observer Officers (Pamatwil). The team will be spread throughout Indonesia for the implementation of the 2021 Candlelight Operation.

“We are leaving Pamatwil from Korlantas today to provide assistance, then for supervision, and to be a referee during the implementation of activities,” he explained.

Korlantas Polri deployed around 40 vehicles for Operation Candles. Dozens of vehicles are divided west route to Jakarta, Merak to Sumatra. Then the Cikampek route to Semarang, Solo, then the Cipularang route, and the southern route to Yogyakarta.
