The DVI Police Team Successfully Identify 10 Victims of the Semeru Eruption

 

On Saturday (4/12/21), the National Police Headquarters Disaster Investigation Team (DVI) managed to identify 10 victims of the Mount Semeru Hot Cloud (APG) disaster in Lumajang Regency. Currently, the team is still in the process of identifying 20 other victims who are concentrated in Dr Haryoto Lumajang Hospital.

“Of the 30 deaths that we recorded, 10 bodies have been identified, while 20 others are still under surveillance,” said Kombes Pol Ahmad Ramadhan, Head of the Public Information Section (Kabagpenum) of the Public Relations Division. from the Police in his statement on the second floor of RSUD Dr. Haryoto Lumajang, Tuesday (12/7/2021).

Of the 10 bodies identified in the name of Bawon Triono, the address for Bulk Koboan, Luluk Bulk Koboan, Yatipak for the Bulk Koboan address, Paidi with the address for Bulk Koboan, Poniem with the address for Bulk Koboan, Mr Edi Pramono with the address Sumberurip Pronojiwo, Dava with the address Kajar Kuning, Mr Roni’s address is at Sumberuluh, Miss Kanvera Ulisa’s address is at Sumberuluh and Alfan’s address is at Sumberwuluh.

Ramadhan asked people who had lost their families due to the eruption to immediately report to the Ante Post and Mortem Post in Candipuro.

“We urge those who have lost their families to immediately surrender to the East Java Ante and Mortem Police who are in various refugee locations,” said Ramadhan.

For bodies that have been identified by the National Police Headquarters and RSUD Dr. Haryoto, they will be immediately returned to the family, in addition to the morgue at RSUD Dr. Haryoto, there is a limit for storing bodies if the number of victims is identified.

“The National Police and RSUD will facilitate the handover to the burial site,” said Ramadhan.

Head of the Dokes Division of the East Java Police, Kombes Pol. Herwin, explained that the process of examining an unidentified body was carried out after the medical network and property.

“Five bodies that arrived first, both medical and immobile, have been identified and handed over directly to the family, while those who are not yet known are examined,” he concluded.
