National Police Holds Head of Regional Head to Discuss Preparation of International Events to Anticipate Omicron

Jakarta – The National Police Headquarters held a rally for all Heads of Regional Units (Kasatwil) from the level of the Regional Police Chief to the Head of the Resort Police. The agenda discussed a number of things, ranging from preparation for national-international events to anticipating the entry of a new variant of the Covid-19 Omicron.

“Polri held a Kasatwil apple. This is indeed in order to unify perceptions. Then also prepare important agendas that must be carried out by the Police, both at the end of 2021 and early 2022,” said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo in Bali, Friday (3/12/2021).

Dedi revealed, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), in his briefing also asked all Kasatwil to continue to be at the forefront in the context of handling and controlling the Covid-19 pandemic.

The President, said Dedi, also emphasized to the police to anticipate preventing the entry of new variants of Covid-19.

“This activity was expected by the President, among others, to remind the first about the handling of Covid-19. We must be careful in dealing with the latest variant for Covid-19, namely Omicron,” said Dedi.

He emphasized that the police were asked to remain vigilant and ignore the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, even though it has decreased at this time.

He said, together with the TNI, the National Police will continue to accelerate vaccination, strengthen 3M and 3T as well as implement disciplined health protocols (prokes).

“We must not be careless, we must not ignore it, even though Indonesia is currently in a fairly good position in terms of handling Covid-19. If we are one of the countries that have occupied level 1,” said Dedi.
