TNI Commander General Andika Sowan told National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Andika promised to establish good cooperation with the police.
“So that in starting my task, I can immediately make improvements based on the contribution of the National Police Chief, especially the working relationship that involves the two institutions,” said Andika at the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
Andika admitted that this visit was intended to seek the opinion of Listyo, who wants the cooperation that was established with the former TNI Commander to continue during his tenure.

“We came to meet the National Police Chief at the National Police Headquarters to officially convey to him what the National Police Chief and his staff had so far had a message or assessment that I needed to know,” he said.
Meanwhile, Listyo welcomed Andika’s arrival. According to Listyo, many had been discussed with Andika. One of them was by increasing the synergy and strength of the TNI and Polri.
“In fact, how do we work hand in hand to carry out the tasks entrusted to us by the government, especially the President (Joko Widodo) to both the TNI and Polri,” Listyo said.
Listyo said that one of the tasks of the TNI and Polri is to accelerate the progress of vaccination against COVID-19. The TNI-Polri at the forefront are trying to reach the 70% target by the end of December 2021.
“So of course we change the model paradigm to deal with various criminal disorders, such as in Papua, we will continue to build Poso, as well as other activities, of course we will increase it again,” said Listyo.
Listyo congratulated Andika as the new TNI Commander.
“Also the success of government programs, especially in terms of handling COVID-19, national economic recovery and other tasks that are clearly our shared task,” Listyo said.
