“Of course the Narcotics Unit does not stand alone, supported by all, including the Sector Police according to the leadership’s orders, in this case the Bengkayang Police Chief in efforts to take action against perpetrators of drug abuse and trafficking,” he added.
Regarding the disclosure of drug cases, IPTU Maju K. Siregar explained that the Bengkayang Police had increased in disclosing cases this year.

Ahead of Christmas and New Year, Bengkayang Police have made various anticipations for the vulnerability of drug trafficking in Bengkayang Regency.
“Ahead of Christmas and New Year, according to information, there is a vulnerability to circulation, especially at the border, especially in Jagoi Babang. For drug trafficking in Bengkayang Regency, we have done a mapping from the information obtained from the perpetrators that they obtained them from around Pontianak by buying or delivering them. Then the Ledo District and above generally get them from around the border,” he said.
“Our step to anticipate the New Year is to improve the mapping of time, place and people who are monitored to be involved in this. Hopefully in the future with the help of the community providing information to us, we can reveal more and we hope that the community will feel the impact of what we are doing,” he concluded.
