CENTRAL LAMPUNG – The Central Lampung Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) will hold the 2021 Krakatau Zebra Operation, Thursday (11/18/2021).
The activity is centered on the Terbanggi Besar Central Cross Road (Jalinteng) section.
On this occasion, Satlantas members gave vitamins to four- and two-wheeled drivers passing through the area.
Head of Satlantas AKP Ikhwan Syukri accompanying the Chief of Police AKBP Oni Prasetya said, in the Zebra Operation this time his party took a humanist, persuasive and sympathetic approach to the community.
“We are taking this step in Operation Zebra Krakatau 2021 in order to reduce the number of violations and traffic accidents.”
“As well as increasing community discipline in traffic, as well as understanding Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning road traffic and transportation,” said AKP Ikhwan Syukri.
In addition to distributing vitamins for endurance, Shukri also explained that his party also gave masks to passing motorists.
“People should not be careless, and continue to use masks wherever they are, because this (Covid-19) pandemic is not over yet,” he added.
In a series of Zebra Operations in Terbanggi Besar, Lamteng Polres Satlantas also facilitated students and the public to carry out vaccinations at SMKN 1 Terbanggi Besar.
Officers in the field, said Ikhwan Syukri, also checked body temperatures for students and the public who would be vaccinating against Covid-19.
Kasatlantas appealed to the public to always prioritize safety, and bring a vehicle registration certificate when driving two-wheeled or four-wheeled.
