Disasters Often Occur, Trenggalek Police Sends Patrol Officers to Monitor Vulnerable Points

Trenggalek Police Station – Entering the rainy season, the Trenggalek Police Department has intensified patrols prone to natural disasters. This patrol is intended to map as well as anticipate vulnerabilities caused by natural disasters.
Kasihumas Polres Trenggalek AKP Bambang Dwiyanto, A.Md., S.H. said, according to instructions from the Trenggalek Police Chief AKBP Dwiasi Wiyatputera, S.H., S.I.K., M.H. so that each work unit increases awareness and potential for natural disasters in their respective regions.

AKP Bambang further said that in the last few days a number of natural disasters such as fallen trees and landslides occurred in a number of areas of Trenggalek Regency including, Watulimo, Pule, Dongko, Dams, and several other mountainous areas.
In handling it, the Police in synergy with the TNI and other relevant stakeholders intervened with the community to clean up landslide materials and provided social assistance as a form of concern and help ease the burden on residents who were affected by the disaster.
AKP Bambang emphasized that all ranks of the Trenggalek Police had been ordered to respond quickly to any reports of natural disasters that came in and take the police action given as well as provide assistance and evacuation.
“Then at the Polres level, we have prepared a disaster task force that can be mobilized at any time. Besides that, the Binmas team is also moving to convey an appeal so that the public is more vigilant and careful.” he concluded.
