The international events of the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) and the Asia Talent Cup in Mandalika, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) will be held in a matter of days. For security, the combined TNI-Polri personnel were deployed reaching 3,000 personnel.
“At least three thousand personnel, because we continue to update this security management. But the combined personnel of the TNI-Polri are at least three thousand,” said West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Police Chief Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal, Thursday (11/11/2021).
This was conveyed by Iqbal when accompanying the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi watching the simulation of WSBK security and the Asia Talent Cup at the Mandalika Circuit on Wednesday (11/10/2021). The addition of personnel is carried out, in order to provide a sense of security as well as an effort to prevent disturbances from security and public order (Kamtibmas).
Iqbal said that 3,000 joint TNI-Polri personnel would be on guard in hundreds of areas in NTB. He explained that the security forces were scattered from the hills to the tunnel roads in NTB.
“We have done almost hundreds of these points and floating-floating, even in the hills, in tunnels, and others,” said Iqbal.
In addition to securing the open pattern, Iqbal ensures that the security for the closed pattern has been carefully prepared by the NTB Regional Police and Korem 162/Wira Bhakti. “And we cannot open everything (security strategies) to the public domain,” he continued.
Iqbal said his party and Korem 162/Wira Bhakti and the NTB Provincial Government had prepared a detailed, comprehensive, synchronous and collaborative security strategy. Such as layered screening for spectators who will attend the Mandalika Circuit.
