Police Chief Warning: Can’t Clean The Tail, I’ll Cut The Head

The National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo promised to provide rewards for personnel who carry out their duties well and work hard to serve and protect the community. However, Sigit also does not hesitate to give punishment to his members who violate the procedures or rules on duty.

“I and all major officials have a commitment to members who have worked hard in the field, did good work, were tired, left their children and wives. I will always be committed to giving rewards, if I forget, please remind me,” said Sigit in a statement on Thursday, October 28, 2021.

However, former Presidential Adjutant Joko Widodo (Jokowi) emphasized that he would give strict sanctions to all Polri personnel who did not carry out their duties properly or violated existing procedures and rules. Of course, this is done for the good of the Bhayangkara Corps in the future.

“If members make mistakes and affect the organization, then don’t hesitate to take action. If I can’t clean the tail, I’ll cut off the head. This is all for the good of the hard-fought organization. Be a role model, a servant and understand every problem as well as the voice of the community so that we can take appropriate policies,” he said.

According to him, leaders must be able to be role models for all parties. As the spirit of the birth of the concept of Precision (Predictiveness, Responsibility, and Transparency of Justice). It is hoped that the Precision concept will be felt by the community and the internal police, if it is really implemented properly.

“That’s what I put into the Precision concept. How do we present predictive, responsible and capable policing that is transparent and fulfills a sense of justice. This is the hope of the community and the duty of colleagues to be able to realize all of this from the leadership level to the executor,” he said.
