The National Police Chief’s Cup Mural Festival will take place in 2021, providing a platform for freedom of expression

On October 30, 2021, the National Police will organize a festival or competition for the 2021 National Police Chief’s Cup mural painting, which will be held at Bhayangkara Field. The event’s topic was ‘The Young Generation’s Creative Role in Disseminating Positive Information in the Face of the Covid-19 Pandemic.’

In the meantime, registration for the National Police Chief’s Cup competition will be open from September 27 to October 17 at the Regional Police level, and from October 20 to October 20, 2021 at the National Police Headquarters.

“For the first time, the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia (Polri) will hold a Mural Festival/Contest entitled Bhayangkara Mural Festival for the 2021 National Police Chief,” said Inspector General Argo Yuwono, Head of the National Police Public Relations Division, to reporters in Jakarta on Monday (18/10).

The goal and purpose of this project, which is open to the general public, is to provide a place for the larger community to collaborate and be creative during the epidemic, as Argo mentioned. Furthermore, by engaging in positive activities, this activity is supposed to inflame the sense of independence, nationalism, and optimism during the epidemic.

According to Argo, the first curation stage for the Bhayangkara mural for the 2021 National Police Chief award festival will take conducted on October 18-20, 2021, to pick the five best participants in each Polda. Then, at the national level or at the National Police Headquarters in Jakarta, one participant will be chosen.

Participants who were not chosen at the Regional Police level will be included in their local Regional Police’s Mural Festival. In addition, the first round of curation will take place on October 22-23, 2021, in the vicinity of the National Police Headquarters or Jabodetabek, to choose the top participants.

Participants who are not selected, on the other hand, can still participate in the Polda Mural Festival based on their residence. The sub-themes serve as a guide for participants to work, care for others during the Covid-19 pandemic, carry out health protocols together, Indonesia is healthy and strong, free of Covid-19, and jointly safeguard Indonesia.

Participants must meet various requirements, according to Argo, including having a work that meets the sub-theme, submitting a mural concept in PDF format, and being published in one maximum size of 2500 pixels, the media ratio is 2.44mx 3.66m, and the work must be unique and unpublished.

Include the names of the chairman and members for group registrants, and submit by the deadline listed on the website www.tribratanews.polri.go.id. The first-place winner will get IDR 30 million, the second-place winner will receive IDR 15 million, the third-place winner will receive IDR 10 million, and the seven favorite contestants will each receive IDR 5 million.
