Jakarta – The closing ceremony of PON XX Papua was held today. A total of 2,900 joint TNI-Polri and Satpol PP personnel were deployed to secure the activity.
“Thousands of security personnel have been prepared to guard the closing ceremony. Personnel will be deployed to various locations for the closing of the PON XX Papua,” said Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Ops Deraku Cartenz Kombes Dedy Sumarsono, to reporters at the Lukas Enembe Stadium complex, Jayapura, Papua, Friday ( 15/10/2021).
PON XX Papua will be closed directly by the Vice President Ma’ruf Amin. The closing ceremony of PON XX Papua was held by implementing strict health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The pattern of security implemented is not much different from the security at opening time. Visitors who have a certified invitation can enter the stadium and show proof of vaccines one and two.
“There are 3 sections that can enter the stadium following the closing ceremony, namely certified invitations, VIP invitations, and VVIP invitations,” said Dedy.
Traffic flow around the stadium was also diverted. Vehicles cannot pass in front of the Lukas Enembe Stadium and are diverted through the Lake Sentani coastal road.
“There are three security points that have been prepared. The first is inside the stadium for the security of the spectators and invited guests. The second point is outside the stadium and the third point is in the parking area,” explained Dedy Sumarsono.
