Simultaneous Village Head Elections are Secured by Banten Police

Starting today, October 10, 2021, the Village Head Election will be held simultaneously. As a result, the Banten Police and the Tangerang Police continue to conduct mobile patrols to maintain the security of the village head election. Vaccination booths have been set up in all polling stations to avoid the establishment of new Covid-19 clusters.

Furthermore, the Banten Police Main Officer is directly involved as Pamatwil in reviewing the TPS for the village head election implementation. “Random swabs will be taken on the committee, candidates, and supporters after the implementation on Days 3, 5, and 7, to avoid the spread of the Covid-19 cluster,” he explained.

Banten Police Chief Inspector General Rudy Heriyanto led the patrol, which was followed by Tangerang Police, Banten Police Satbrimob, and Banten Warriors Troops in motorized vehicles.

The Banten Regional Police deployed 2,080 officers to protect the village head elections, which were held in 951 polling sites under Tangerang Police jurisdiction.
