The Indonesian National Army, the Indonesian National Police, and related agencies have prepared security by holding Operation Deraku Cartenz, related to the XX National Sports Week (PON) event, in Papua. Ahead of the opening of the PON on Saturday (2/10/2021), the situation is safe and conducive.
“Alhamdulillah, the situation is conducive. To secure PON, the Police will hold Operation Deraku Cartenz 2021, together with the TNI, related agencies, and other Polri partners. Together, we will secure the national sporting event, namely PON, in Papua,” said Karo Penmas, Public Relations Division. Police Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, Friday (1/10/2021).
Rusdi said that personnel have been prepared and security activities have been running around the venue. It is hoped that the PON event can take place smoothly, safely and in an orderly manner.
“Everything is running, God willing, everything is ready. We hope that national sports activities in Papua can run smoothly, successfully, and can be safe. Everything is ready there, “he said.
Previously, the TNI Commander, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, and the National Police Chief General, Listyo Sigit Prabowo, had directly reviewed the preparations for securing the XX PON activities at the Lukas Enembe Stadium, Papua, Tuesday (28/9/2021).
The Commander and Chief of the National Police will ensure that activities from the opening, implementation, and closing of the PON run safely, peacefully, and smoothly.
