The DVI Police Team Today Successfully Identify 8 Bodies of Victims of the Tangerang Class I Prison Fire

JAKARTA – The Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team of the National Police Hospital again delivered an update related to the process of identifying the bodies of victims of the Tangerang Class I prison fire, Monday (13/9/2021).

Head of the Public Information Section (Kabag Penum) of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Headquarters Kombes Pol. Ahmad Ramadhan said, today the DVI team managed to identify eight bodies.

“Again, the DVI team managed to identify 8 bodies,” said Ramadhan during a press conference at the National Police Hospital, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, Monday (13/9/2021).

Ramadhan said that in the 8 bodies that were identified, one of them was a foreign citizen from Portugal.

Thus, to date, a total of 18 bodies have been identified from the 41 bodies of fire victims who were handed over to the DVI team at the National Police Hospital, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

“Which of these 8 bodies, one of them is the body of a foreigner from Portugal, so 7 are Indonesian citizens and 1 Portuguese citizen,” he said.

The eight bodies that were identified today are:

1. Anton alias Dragonfly bin Idal (35).

2. Lim Angie Sugianto bin Go Shong Weng (68).

3. Sarim alias Mr. Bin Harkam (56).

4. Rezkil Khairi alias Padang bin Nursin (23).

5. Sumantri Jayaprana alias Ipan bin Darman (35).

6. I Wayan Tirta Utama alias Tita Utama bin Nyoman Sami (36).

7. Petra Eka alias Etus bin Suhendar (25).

8. Ricardo Ussumane Embalo bin Antonio Embalo (51).

“The total number that has been identified as of Monday, September 13, 2021, is 18 people,” said Ramadhan.

With that, Ramadhan said that until now his party in this case the DVI Polri team is still working on the remaining victims who have not been identified.

“The number of victims who have not been identified is 23 people,” he said.
