Vaccination in Ponorogo Regency Attracts President Joko Widodo’s attention

Ponorogo – President Joko Widodo started a working visit in East Java Province by reviewing vaccinations for students which was held at SMK PGRI 2 Ponorogo, Ponorogo Regency, on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. In this activity, 1,000 vocational students received the first dose of vaccine. Sinovac.

Furthermore, the President reviewed the busyness of vaccination for students at the K.H Syamsuddin Islamic Boarding School, Ponorogo Regency. Simultaneous vaccination activities were also carried out at Islamic boarding schools, churches and houses of worship in 34 provinces.

“This afternoon we have carried out simultaneous vaccinations in Islamic boarding schools and churches, houses of worship. I really welcome what the TNI and Polri are doing,” said the President.

The Head of State wants together with the acceleration of vaccination in a number of places to suppress the spread of Covid-19. He also urges the public to always be diligent in moving the fitness protocols even though they have been vaccinated.

“Hopefully, with the speed of the vaccine that we have done, the spread of Covid, the spread of the delta variant, we can reduce it, we can stop it,” he said.

Also accompanying the President in the following activities are the National Police Chief Gen. Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, and Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko.
