Preventing Covid-19 Transmission, Demak Police Intensively Raids Entertainment Places

The Demak Police are intensifying operations to suppress community or concentrated diseases throughout Demak. This is to support the Level 4 Emergency PPKM program in the context of preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the City of Wali.

This was revealed by the Demak Police Chief, AKBP Budi Adhy Buono, while at the Demak Regency Government pavilion building, Sunday (29/8/2021) early in the morning.

He said, in addition to supporting Emergency PPKM, concentrated raids were carried out in the context of enforcing Regional Regulation No. 11 of 2018 concerning the implementation of entertainment businesses in Demak Regency. The police will be more aggressive in carrying out concentrated operations in a number of locations in Demak so that people feel calm and safe.

“For strict control, we carry out operations to create conditions in the context of Emergency PPKM and enforcement of regional regulations. We have done it and we are doing it. We control all kinds of public ills, such as alcohol, all kinds of gambling, and so on,” he explained.

The Police Chief admitted that when carrying out the copyright operation, the police could not do it themselves. According to him, strict control can be carried out with the help of all elements of the community and related agencies.

“We certainly can’t do it alone. We synergize assisted by the TNI, Satpol PP and all elements of society. This is for the sake of creating an orderly and peaceful condition in Demak,” he said.

During the raid, officers secured hundreds of various types of alcohol, microphones, sound systems and CPU devices in the entertainment venues. In addition, the officers also secured visitors and karaoke guides who were caught in heavy raids.

“We carried out urine tests and antigen swabs on all visitors and karaoke guides who were caught in the raid, the results were that 45 people did not find drug abuse and non-reactive Covid-19. With this raid, it is hoped that it will restore the dignity of Demak Regency as a City of Guardians,” he concluded.(sup)
