The head of traffic coordination of the National Police, Inspector General Pol Istiono, together with the regional police chief of North Sulawesi, Inspector General of Police Nana Sudjana, and President Director of Jasa Raharja Rivan, reviewed the implementation of vaccination at the Precise Vaccine Outlet of the Manado Police on Wednesday (25/8/2021). Social assistance in the form of basic necessities was also given to city transport drivers and bus drivers.
“I saw today with the regional police chief and the Director of Jasa Raharja reviewing the vaccination implementation at the Manado Police. Today, 200 vaccines, both the first and second vaccinations, are specifically given to transport and motorcycle taxi drivers, “said Inspector General Pol Istiono.
The vaccination, which is held every day at the Manado Police Station, is packed with residents of Manado City and its surroundings, while still following the Covid-19 prevention health protocol.
According to him, transportation and motorcycle taxi drivers are actors of mobility on the road who are very at risk of being exposed to Covid, because every day they are always dealing with other road users.
“Hopefully, with so many people being vaccinated, herd immunity will increase, especially for road users and transportation actors,” said the former Director of Traffic and Traffic of the North Sulawesi Police in 2009.
Even though he has been vaccinated, he hopes that the public will continue to adhere to the health protocols for preventing COVID-19, especially wearing masks.
“Everywhere you have to wear a mask, don’t take off your mask,” said the former Babel regional police chief.
The visit was also attended by the Deputy Chief of the North Sulawesi Regional Police Brigadier General Pol Johnny Eddizon Isir, Dirgakkum Korlantas Police Brigadier General Kushariyanto, Karo Ops North Sulawesi Police Kombes Pol W Wirawan, North Sulawesi Police Traffic Director AKBP Robertho Pardede and Manado Police Chief Kombes
