Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan officially extends PPKM Level 4 from Tuesday, August 24 to September 6, 2021.

The city of Banjarmasin has implemented the four-week PPKM policy from 26 July to 23 August 2021 and will officially be extended until 6 September 2021.

As quoted by the DIY News Team from ANTARANEWS, August 23, 2021, H Ibnu Sina as the Mayor of Banjarmasin emphasized that the extension of PPKM Level 4 for the next two weeks was a decision from the central government.

Ibnu Sina also added that although he was still at PPKM Level 4, the weekly Covid-19 cases in Banjarmasin were already at Level 3, while the bed occupancy rate (BOR) was at Level 2.

Some areas outside Java – Bali that are included in PPKM Level 4 according to the Ministry of Home Affairs are Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara, Maluku, and Papua.

While the 45 regencies/cities are Medan City, Padang City, Pekanbaru City, Batam and Tanjungpinang City, Jambi City, Palembang City, Lubuklinggau City, Musi Banyuasin Regency and Musi Rawas Regency, West Bangka Regency, Belitung Regency and East Belitung Regency. .
