Kapolri request Babel to re-optimize disclaimer possibilities in the city district

Bangka Belitung – The National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, asked Forkompimda Bangka Belitung (Babel) to re-optimize blocking posts at border points. The closure is to anticipate the spread of Covid-19 which is still widespread.

While chairing a meeting to evaluate the handling and control of Covid-19 in Babel, Saturday (14/8/2021), the National Police Chief and TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto highlighted the increase in the number of confirmed positive Covid-19 cases in Babylon in the past month. The increase was triggered by the high mobility of the community in various sectors because residents considered the Emergency PPKM to be over and there were no more isolation activities within the city, between cities and provinces.

“This has resulted in increased mobility of people to and from Babylon in the past month. Even though there is still a PPKM level for the next policy. Therefore, Forkompimda must re-optimize the blocking posts at border points between sub-districts, districts and cities to inter-provinces,” said Sigit.

The National Police Chief said that judicial operations in crowded places and in economic centers where easing had to be done also needed to be improved. This effort is to reduce the mobility of the potential for transmission.

“This must also be accompanied by massive socialization to the community regarding health protocols and PPKM policies that are being implemented,” said the former Banten Police Chief when giving directions to the Babel Forkompimda.

The former Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police said that all of this was an effort to fight the corona virus. In addition, this is to maintain the momentum of economic growth at the national level which has grown by 7.07 percent, while in the Province of the Babylon Islands it is 6.85 percent.

“The basic capital is to suppress Covid cases with a control strategy that pays attention to the balance between isolation (reducing mobility) and easing while still paying attention to health protocols,” said Sigit.

On the other hand, Sigit appealed to Forkompimda to actively inform people who choose to self-isolate to shift to an integrated isolation location or an isoter that has been prepared. In isoter, all facilities have been prepared, including good health workers.

“The isoters that have been prepared must have sufficient health personnel and better care supervision than the isoman. This must be implemented so that the people who are being treated can truly recover and the risk of transmission due to undetected isomanism can be avoided,” said Sigit.

Regarding the need for oxygen and medicine, Sigit said that he and the TNI Commander had conveyed to the government to be able to add more. The addition of the supply is expected to accelerate the handling of Covid-19 in the Province of Babel.

“Also related to social assistance from the center, regions and the TNI-Polri, it must also really reach the affected people so that everything goes well,” said Sigit.
