Residents who are self-isolating are sent for social assistance by the police and the AGII

The National Police is collaborating with the Indonesian Industrial Gas Association (AGII) to distribute social assistance to Covid-19 patients who are self-isolating at home and to health workers.

The police representative, Kombes Pol Budi Agus Setiawan, said the social assistance was in the form of food, milk and vitamins. According to Agus, all the social assistance has been handed over to the Gotong Royong Oxygen House (ROGR) in Pulogadung, East Jakarta.

“We must help each other and work together to handle Covid-19. Currently, Indonesia is still experiencing a Covid-19 pandemic. Even in the July period after Idul Fitri 2021, Covid-19 cases have soared quite high, “Budi said in his official statement in Jakarta on Thursday (12/8/2021).

Meanwhile, AGII Secretary General Afdal Marda explained that his party would continue to assist the central government in meeting the oxygen needs for Covid-19 patients.

According to him, AGII, as an oxygen producer, will produce oxygen gas maximally in order to maintain the stock and availability of medical oxygen gas throughout Indonesia in anticipation of the surge in the number of Covid-19 cases, so that there is no shortage of medical oxygen gas in the area or in hospitals.

“AGII hopes to continue to cooperate with the National Police to supervise and distribute oxygen for medical needs so that there are no deviations in the distribution and oxygen needs for Covid-19 patients on target,” he said.
