The Commander and Chief of the National Police on a Working Visit to Makassar

Jakarta: The TNI Commander and the National Police Chief paid a working visit to Makassar City, South Sulawesi. This visit was carried out in order to hold a meeting with regional leaders to discuss the handling of COVID-19.

After holding a coordination meeting, the TNI Commander and the National Police Chief directly inspected the centralized isolation location at the Makassar Hajj Dormitory. During the meeting, the TNI Commander stated that COVID-19 does not recognize holidays.

“The local government is asked to remain enthusiastic and consistent in suppressing the spread of COVID-19,” said Metro TV presenter Hamdan Alkafie in the Headline News program, Sunday, August 8, 2021.

The Commander also touched on the role of TNI personnel in carrying out the task of handling COVID-19, both security in isolation or other tasks. The TNI Commander hopes that officers in the field provide information in a humane manner.

The TNI Commander and the National Police Chief also directly inspected the centralized isolation area at the Makassar Hajj Dormitory. During this visit, the Commander and Chief of Police handed over oxygen concentrator assistance from the President of the Republic of Indonesia to the Regent of Gowa and the Regent of Maros.
