On that occasion, Listyo thanked IPB University for its cooperation in holding vaccinations with the National Police. This activity is part of President Joko Widodo’s instructions in accelerating the Covid-19 vaccination.

“Today I am very grateful for the opportunity given by the Chancellor and also colleagues from youth organizations and IPB students who today provide the opportunity for us to work together in order to accelerate vaccination which is part of the government program, Mr. the covid-19 pandemic,” Listyo told reporters.

So far, Listyo added, the COVID-19 exposure rate is still quite high. Thus, one of the efforts being intensified by the government is one of the acceleration of vaccination to the public.

“We know that until now the number is quite high, although nationally it has fallen from 20,000 to 23,000. But we have reached 65,000. This means that we still need to work hard so that we can all be free soon and can face this time, it is indeed very difficult and difficult. One of the strategies to deal with Covid is the Covid-19 vaccination activity,” said Listyo.

He saw that Bogor as one of the buffer zones for the capital city of Jakarta should be a concern in accelerating vaccination. Therefore, it is necessary to accelerate and cooperate with all parties, especially in the momentum of welcoming the 76th Indonesian Independence Day.

“I see that as a buffer for the capital city, which is of course very important, it will be worked on quickly because the figure is still around 16 percent so it needs acceleration. We hope that by taking advantage of this Independence Day the acceleration of vaccination acceleration can be carried out,” he asked.

Not to forget, the four-star general appealed to the public not to hesitate or worry about taking vaccinations. Including that the community always implements strict health protocols as an effort to prevent transmission.

“No less important, I remind you that apart from vaccination, we also maintain strict health protocols. It is also part of the right strategy by using masks. One of them is that we will be safer both from the potential to infect or the potential to be infected,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Chancellor of IPB University Arif Satria said his party was targeting as many as 10,000 vaccination targets for the community in the campus environment. It is hoped that this will help the government in its efforts to accelerate the COVID-19 vaccination.

“We thank you for the support from Lolri to accelerate the vaccination of students, lecturers’ families and the community around the campus in Dramaga so that this is also our effort to help the government, the local government here has the Regent for expanding vaccine coverage. Alhamdulillah at IPB when We have made this a vaccination center,” said Arif. (din)
