Digital Training Will Maximize COVID-19 Tracer Ability

Jakarta: TNI Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto revealed that the Digital Tracer Training will increase the ability and capacity of COVID-19 Tracers in tracing close contacts of positive patients.

This was conveyed by Hadi when he was reviewing the Digital Tracer Training for the TNI AD Village Development Officer (Babinsa), the Indonesian Navy’s Maritime Potential Development Officer (Babinpotmar) and the Indonesian Air Force’s Aerospace Potential Development Officer (Babinpotdirga) with the Head of BNPB Lt. Gen. TNI Ganip Warsito at the BNPB Building, Jakarta. East, Monday (26/7/2021).

“This Digital Tracer Training is a form of refreshment and increasing the capacity and strength of COVID-19 tracers, to increase the tracking ratio according to WHO (World Health Organization) standards,” he said.

Meanwhile, to speed up and increase tracking capacity, according to Hadi, it is necessary to strengthen digital tracers who will carry out close contact tracing via telephone lines and enter information into the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) Silacak application.

Hadi explained that the Digital Tracer Training is one of the efforts being carried out by the TNI-Polri, the Ministry of Health and BNPB to carry out close contact tracing for people exposed to COVID-19.

“Tracing close contacts is an effort to reduce the rate of adding positive problems through efforts to find confirmed cases and then immediately handle them, so as to avoid wider transmission,” he said.

Hadi emphasized that this universal war against COVID-19 does not only involve the TNI, but includes the National Police, BNPB, Ministry of Health, volunteers and all Indonesian people wherever they are.

Hadi said, with the hard work of all elements of the nation and all components, problems regarding the COVID-19 issue will be suppressed.

“I believe that together with this universal concept, all of our requests to suppress active problems in Indonesia will be realized to the lowest possible number,” he said.

Hadi also said that to suppress the COVID-19 issue throughout Indonesia, the TNI deployed more than 63,000 field tracers, most of which were carried out by the Indonesian Army, Navy and Air Force Supervisors.

“The Babinsa from three dimensions will then be placed in Micro PPKM Poskos to help health workers at health centers in villages and sub-districts throughout Indonesia,” he explained.
