Emergency PPKM Extended, TNI-Polri Continue to Distribute Basic Food Social Services in Gresik

SURYA.CO.ID, GRESIK – The government has extended the implementation of the Emergency Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) in Java-Bali, which is now called PKKM level 4.

This is regulated in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 22 of 2021 concerning PPKM Level 4 in the Java-Bali region, issued on July 20, 2021.

In the Minister of Home Affairs it is stated that regions that meet the criteria for level 3 and 4 must continue to apply PPKM until July 25, 2021, as well as optimize the Covid-19 handling post at the village level.

In Gresik, the Manyar Police continued to carry out judicial operations both day and night with the 0817/06 Koramil and the Sub-district Trantib.

However, in the midst of being busy disciplining the application of health protocols, the Police personnel in Manyar District cannot remain silent seeing the community in difficult conditions due to being affected by the prolonged pandemic.

Carrying a bag that reads “We are Indonesia”, the Covid-19 social assistance (Bansos) containing 5 kg of rice, 2 liters of cooking oil and one kilogram of sugar is given to residents in need.

This time the social assistance targeted the Manyar Sidorukun Village. An old woman who sells food and drinks on a two-wheeled cart to meet her daily food needs, receives a Covid-19 social assistance package for basic food items handed out by officers.

“We provide this assistance as a form of concern for the TNI-Polri to the people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in Gresik,” said Gresik Police Chief, AKBP Arief Fitrianto, Thursday (22/7/2021).

According to him, these activities will continue to be carried out, in synergy with the three pillars.

Meanwhile, the Manyar Police Chief, AKP Bima Sakti Pria Laksana invites the public with full awareness to be disciplined in complying with health protocols in the midst of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The recent increase in Covid-19 cases and the entry of new variants in various regions have become a serious concern for the government. However, the community affected by Emergency PPKM is also a priority for the Police and the TNI.

“The Manyar Police, together with the three pillars, are not only aggressively controlling health promotions. However, they continue to visit the homes of residents who need assistance during emergency PPKM, as well as those who are undergoing self-isolation, to distribute food packages,” he concluded.
