Polri Oversees Distribution of 300,000 Free Drug Packages

JAKARTA – Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives Ahmad Sahroni asked the Indonesian National Police and TNI to closely monitor the distribution process of 300 thousand packages of Covid-19 drugs and vitamins initiated by President Joko Widodo as an effort to suppress the transmission of the corona virus.

“The number of drug packages distributed is quite a lot, the first stage reaches 300,000 drug packages. Therefore, I ask the police and the TNI to closely monitor the drug packages,” Sahroni said in Jakarta, Friday.

He asked that the distribution of the drugs be closely monitored and ensured that the distribution was going well. In addition, Sahroni asked that the administrative process be simplified so that it could reach the people who really need it.

“The distribution process for the Covid-19 drug package must be considered carefully and the flow must be simplified or shortened so that it reaches positive patients on time,” he said.

Sahroni appreciated the government for launching 300 thousand packages of Covid-19 drugs and vitamins for free to Covid-19 sufferers who are undergoing self-isolation (or a.k.a isoman).

According to him, this policy is a positive step for the government because many residents are forced to undergo isomanism because they are not served in hospitals.
