Listyo emphasized that food self-sufficiency is a common goal so that in the future Indonesia will be able to meet the needs. domestic food well and is able to continue to meet foreign markets (exports).
“The National Police is ready to back up the amount of rice harvested by the farmers. With self-sufficiency in rice, we can export, ”he said.
In this regard, according to Listyo, the National Police will assist the Ministry of Agriculture in dealing with and tracing the possibility of a food mafia that could reduce national food availability.
Responding to this, the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo expressed his gratitude for the attention of the Bhayangkara Corps, who have so far contributed a lot in maintaining stable prices and food availability.
“All the basic needs can be maintained because the Police Food Task Force helps him very well,” he said.
The Minister of Agriculture added that the support from the National Police has been successful in keeping the agricultural sector, especially the 11 priority commodities, always available properly. Therefore, this synergy needs to be improved to maintain and increase national food security. (***)
