Entering Jakarta is tightened, recording 11 random antigen test locations

JAKARTA. The movement of the people who will return to Jakarta after Lebaran 2021 will be tightened. This is a policy of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub).

In West Java, the government established random free antigen test posts in 11 locations for people returning to Jakarta.

Director General of Land Transportation, Budi Setiyadi, said this was done with the aim of tightening the movement of people who would travel across regions.

“In accordance with the direction of the Minister of Transportation, we will tighten the movement of people who will return to Jakarta. In principle, we want all people who are going to Jakarta to be healthy people, not exposed to Covid-19 and we hope that Jakarta will become the center of economic activity and so on. For that we will do all the entrances to Jakarta with a rapid antigen test, ”said Budi through a press release, Saturday (15/5/2021).

Especially for two-wheeled users, a free antigen test is prepared at UPPKB Balonggandu, Karawang. The Ministry of Transportation predicts that the peak of the backflow of the increase in vehicle volume from east to west will occur on Sunday (16/5/2021) night.

This random test post is the result of synergy between agencies such as the Ministry of Health, Police, TNI. Especially at the Balonggandu UPPKB, a random test post is handled by a team from the Directorate General of Land Transportation and conducts a random antigen rapid test to the public on motorcyclists.

“This is a random check because after an inventory, the availability of the rapid test kits from the Covid-19 Task Force and the Ministry of Health must be divided so that they are evenly distributed. Although random sampling is carried out, we hope that the majority will be examined, “said Budi.
